In 1996 Mr. Garcia founded Oscar I. Garcia , AIA, Architect offering a wide range of design services to the retail, commercial, residential and hospitality industries. As Principal, Mr. Garcia provides direction to the firm in every aspect of project development and design.

Ines Ferrari
Principal
Focused initially on providing Interior Design services to the hospitality industry, Ms. Ferrari founded Ferrari Interiors, Inc. in 1994. Since then she has broadened her fields of expertise to include restaurants, corporate offices, senior living facilities and select residences as well. Ms. Ferrari personally directs the budgeting, space planning, design, purchasing, scheduling, and supervision of final installation of all projects.

Daniel J. Knopman
OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
ASSOCIATE
Mr. Knopman joined the firm in 2002 brining with him 21 years of proven experience in Project Management, Contract Administration, and Forensics Consulting on a wide range of public and private sector projects from airports and educational facilities to regional malls and condominiums. As Senior Project Manager for Oscar I. Garcia, AIA, Architect, Mr. Knopman oversees all aspects of project development and coordination.
Mr. Knopman’s is currently focused on the completion of the $60 million dollar Atlantic Hotel/Condominium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Mauricio Villa
DESIGN DIRECTOR
A native of Columbia Mr. Mauricio Villa earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree in Bogotá Colombia in 1983. While in Colombia he was the managing principal for Villa & Associates working on projects in Central and South America as well as Europe and taught part time at Javeriana University where he was also a visiting citric for the University of Miami, Florida Atlantic University and Miami Dade Community College. In 1990 Mr. Villa moved to the United States and attended the University of Miami where he earned a Master of Architecture degree.
Mr. Villa joined Oscar I Garcia Architect, AIA in May 2007 bringing nearly 25 years of experience to the company garnered from his tenure at several leading South Florida architecture firms. As Design Director, Mr. Villa is responsible for leading the organization's design team in developing imaginative solutions that are responsive to our client's needs furthering our organizations goal of being a creative leader in our industry.
James R. Bettelli
ASSOCIATE
SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER
Mr. Bettelli joined Oscar I. Garcia, AIA, Architect in 2000 as a Project Manager in charge of Design, Construction Documentation, and Contract Administration. In addition, Mr. Bettelli’s extensive planning expertise is offered to our clients to assist them through all aspects of project development. His other responsibilities include management of the firm’s IT systems and as graphics coordinator for special projects.
Mr. Bettelli’s attentions are focused on project management and construction administration for the completion of the 298 room Trump International Hotel and Tower on Fort Lauderdale Beach, Florida.
Frank A. Serafino

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER
Mr. Frank A. Serafino has been a key member of Oscar I. Garcia, AIA, Architect since 1998. A state licensed general contractor with over 30 years of field experience, Mr. Serafino’s combination of architectural and construction project management experience has been invaluable to the organization. Mr. Serafino has been instrumental in providing on time and on budget solutions for our clients on a variety of projects completed by the firm.
Mr. Serafino’s attentions are currently focused on the completion of the Hollywood Grande Condo/Hotel Resort located in Hollywood, Florida. When completed, this 225 room Mediterranean style luxury resort will feature four star hospitality with a European touch.
Michael Hurtak
ASSOCIATE
PROJECT MANAGER
Mr. Hurtak joined the firm in 2001, bringing 25 years of Architectural experience in South Florida to Oscar I. Garcia, AIA, Architect. With a specialization in large-scale multi-story residential, commercial and hospitality projects, his expertise spans a broad range of architecture planning and design. Formerly a partner of Aventura firm Halberstein/Hurtak and owner of custom homes building company Mikron Homes, Inc. for over 14 years, he is an expert in planning, designing and building from the ground up. As a project architect, Mr. Hurtak lends his knowledge to continue the expansion of South Florida’s growing skyline.
Mr. Hurtak is currently focusing on the Trump Hotel and Condominium on Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale.
Seth D. Yeslow
PROJECT MANAGER/DESIGNER
Seth D. Yeslow was born in Miami, Florida in 1974. He studied Architectural Engineering at the University of Miami, graduating in 1996 and earning his Engineering Intern’s license a year later. Having been encouraged by his design professors in the UM School of Architecture, including such world-reknown architects as Elizabeth Plater-Zybek and Vincent Scully, Seth pursued his passion for design by enrolling in the Florida International University Master of Arts in Architecture program. In his three years at the school he excelled academically and directed the school’s computer-aided design laboratory while assisting in the teaching of the undergraduate computer classes. His experiences included studying with award-winning architects such as Morris Lapidus and participating with Bernard Tschumi’s team in the design of FIU’s new School of Architecture building.
Upon finishing his studies Seth began his professional career in Miami, spending the next few years serving as project architect, design architect or project manager in a wide range of projects including single/multi-story residential, hotels and varying commercial projects. He has been at the forefront of the urban renewal trend currently sweeping the region, having been a part of the design team responsible for the first loft-style condominium and the first urban-lifestyle retail center in downtown Miami. Seth joined Oscar I. Garcia, A.I.A. Architect in March 2004, bringing with him a wide range of professional services ranging from design and computer graphics capabilities to project management and construction administration. He has spent the past two years developing multi-story residential projects for some of South Florida’s biggest developers, including a four tower, 972 unit project in the Daytona Beach, FL region.
Seth is currently working on a multi-family residential project in Ft Lauderdale, FL and a luxury hotel project in Palm Beach, Florida.
Carpelo Jeoboam
PROJECT MANAGER
Mr. Jeoboam recently joined Oscar I. Garcia, AIA, Architect as a Project Manager in charge of Design, Construction Documentation, and Contract Administration. Mr. Jeoboam has a very diverse design background and an extensive knowledge in graphics and production software.
Mr. Jeoboam’s attentions are currently focused on the completion of the 260 room Trump Gold Coast Resort in Fort Lauderdale Beach, Florida.
Mr. Jeobaom attended Florida Atlantic University for his Bachelor of Architecture. He also received a Bachelor of Design from the University of Florida.
